In continuing its mission to foster a culture of kindness, Hampton Bays Middle School participated in P.S. I Love You Day, an initiative where students took part in a variety of activities on Feb. 12.

Wearing purple to stand up against bullying, help end depression and prevent suicide, students actively engaged in classroom discussions and helped design a new “We Will Rise” wall featuring positive messages. Students also purchased love buttons as part of a fundraiser for Joe’s Project, an organization dedicated to suicide prevention. The PTO also donated PS I Love You Day bracelets.

P.S. I Love You Day, now in its 12th year, aims to raise awareness about bullying and suicide while promoting kindness.
