We are off to a great start but we NEED YOU!

The PTA partners with the teachers and faculty to coordinate both fundraising events as well as other fun and educational events for the children of the Hampton Bays Elementary School.  The money we make goes right back into the school to help buy things that the teachers and staff need, for example:  area rugs for classrooms, tablets, sporting equipment for recess (balls, scooters), etc..

 What's in it for you???

You will have an opportunity to make a difference in your child/children's school and within the community at large.  Working side by side with faculty and staff, you get to know the teachers and play a more active role in your child's education.  You get to participate in events that your child/children will attend and get to see them during the day.  And you will be acting as a positive role model for your child demonstrating the importance of volunteering and being active in the school and your community.

The Hampton Bays Elementary School PTA has lots of exciting events planned over the next few months.  We are always looking for parents to join us and help.  Please get involved!! Feel free to reach out to any member for more information.

We need your help with the yearbook! Throughout the year you will be involved with activities, field trips and parties with your child's class.  We ask that you please submit any photos you take for the yearbook.  You can submit pictures from your iPhone and Galaxy phone using a free app - Balfour Image Share - and it's FREE!

Once you install the app, fill out the required fields including the School Project:  019995.  No Password is necessary.  Agree to the terms and you are ready to go.

If you have any questions please contact Vickie Anne Single at

What is the PTA?

What is the PTA?

The Parent Teacher Association®
Membership is open to anyone who believes in the mission and purposes of Parent Teacher Association. Individual members may belong to any number of PTAs and pay dues in each. Every person who joins a local PTA® automatically becomes a member of both the state and national PTAs.

Together we are a powerful voice for children. With your help, we can continue to work toward PTA's goal of a quality education and nurturing environment for every child.

The members of the Hampton Bays Elementary School service organization K-Kids recently donated $450 to the American Cancer Society as part of their 15th annual Denim Day fundraiser. They raised the funds by selling breast cancer awareness bracelets to fellow students, teachers and administrators. Students and staff also wore jeans and the color pink on Oct. 25 in honor of the cause.

Hampton Bays preschoolers were treated to a special Halloween event on Oct. 31 at Hampton Bays High School. Members of the high school’s newly established Tri-M Music Honor Society teamed up with life skills students to entertain the young guests with trick-or-treating, face painting, fall-themed games and stories.

The students in Michelle Racywolski’s class at Hampton Bays Elementary School recently constructed apple volcanoes by combining baking soda and vinegar in holes dug out of the fruits by their teacher. The seasonally appropriate science lesson included a study of the parts of the apple and different dishes that apples can be found in. The lesson will culminate with a trip to Milk Pail Farm to pick apples and pumpkins.
