Hampton Bays fifth graders celebrate Constitution Day

Hampton Bays fifth graders celebrated Constitution Day on Sept. 17 by learning about the history and importance of the United States Constitution. Students discussed why the Constitution was created and the role it continues to play in our country. As part of the celebration, they also created and signed a classroom “constitution,” making a promise to uphold values and expectations they discussed together. The activity provided the students with an engaging opportunity to connect their classroom community with the principles of citizenship and civic responsibility.
