My Story - Student #20

MI HISTORIA

Mi vida tiene muchos recuerdos bonitos. Dos de esos son compartir tiempo con mis padres cuando era pequeño y otro recuerdo lindo que tengo es haber compartido mucho tiempo y momentos lindos con mi hermano. Cuando vivía en Ecuador. Extraño todo ese tiempo que compartí con ellos ya que ahora solo los veo pocas veces al año. Mi escuela no es muy grande pero aprendo cosas nuevas todos los días como palabras en inglés y cosas que no se hacen en mi país con normalidad. Algo que es muy diferente en el colegio de mi país es la hora del lunch ya que en mi país nos dejan salir de los cursos y podemos andar al aire libre por todo el colegio y sentirnos más libres que aquí.

Una de las razones por las cuales yo deje mi país es porque mi papá vino a vivir a los EEUU y un día se me ocurrió la idea de querer ir a vivir con él. Fue un poco complicado convencerlo a que aceptara, pero después de insistir mucho lo acepto. Otra razón por la que vine a vivir aquí a los EEUU fue por mi papa pero eso fue porque yo toda la vida me he criado con él y lo extrañaba mucho. También sé que en este país yo voy a poder cumplir todo lo que me proponga. El día que supe que me iba ir de viaje hacia EE UU no estaba seguro de quedarme allí ya que perdería todos mis papeles, pero yo ya había viajado antes cuando era más niño como turista. Ya como yo ya sabia como era un poco el país me decidí en quedarme aunque eso implicaba dejar a toda mi familia y amigos que tenía en Ecuador. 

Cuando yo ingresé a la escuela acostumbrarme fue algo nuevo para mi pero no difícil, cuando yo ingresé al colegio pude hacer muchos amigos y eso hizo que el colegio no se me haga difícil acoplarme, ya que ellos me guiaban en lo que podían. El primer día que entré al colegio pensé que iba a ser difícil pero con el tiempo me fui dando cuenta que lo único difícil era acordarme donde quedan ubicados los salones. Esta experiencia de ir a un colegio nuevo y estar en un nuevo país me ha hecho cambiar mucho la perspectiva de mi futuro de como yo pensaba antes. En este país si tu no pones de tu parte nunca vas a poder seguir adelante ya que este país está lleno de muchas oportunidades que si no las aprovechas no vas a poder superarte.

Yo después de graduarme tengo pensado trabajar, porque quiero primero que todo estar estable económicamente porque me gustaría tener mis cosas antes de ir a la universidad, ya que no me gustaría tener que trabajar y estudiar a la vez ya que sería algo muy agotador.

MY STORY

My life has many beautiful memories. Two of those are sharing time with my parents when I was little and another nice memory I have is having shared a lot of time and nice moments with my brother. When I lived in Ecuador. I miss all that time I shared with them since now I only see them a few times a year. My school is not very big but I learn new things every day like English words and things that are not done normally in my country. Something that is very different in the school in my country is lunch time since in my country they let us leave the school and we can walk outdoors throughout the school and feel freer than here.

One of the reasons why I left my country is because my dad came to live in the US and one day I had the idea of wanting to go live with him. It was a little complicated to convince him to accept, but after insisting a lot he accepted it. The reason why I came to live here in the US was because of my dad, but that was because I had grown up with him all my life and I missed him a lot. I also know that in this country I will be able to accomplish everything I set my mind to. The day I found out that I was going on a trip to the United States, I wasn't sure about staying there since I would lose all my papers, but I had already traveled before when I was younger as a tourist. Since I already knew what the country was like, I decided to stay even though that meant leaving all my family and friends that I had in Ecuador. 

When I entered school, getting used to it was something new for me but not difficult. When I entered school I was able to make many friends and that made school not difficult for me to adapt to, since they guided me as much as they could. The first day I entered school I thought it was going to be difficult but over time I realized that the only difficult thing was remembering where the classrooms are located. This experience of going to a new school and being in a new country has made me change my perspective of my future a lot from what I thought before. In this country, if you do not do your part, you will never be able to move forward since this country is full of many opportunities that if you do not take advantage of them, you will not be able to improve yourself.

After graduating I plan to work, because I want first of all to be financially stable because I would like to have my things before going to university, since I would not like to have to work and study at the same time since it would be very exhausting.
