Cuando iba con mi familia a visitar los zoológicos veíamos diferentes especies de animales. Es algo positivo. Todo estaba sano y salíamos a jugar con mis primos. Después íbamos a comer y a las piscinas. Extraño salir con mi familia de paseo, salir con mis amigos, jugar e ir a celebrar el cumpleaños de alguien de mi familia. Aprendí valores a ser un poco más amigable y siempre tener respeto alas personas mayores y mientras que los adultos hablan los menores tienen que escuchar y no meterse en conversaciones de adultos
La diferencia de escuela es mucha en la escuela de mi pais tenia todas las clases en un solo salón y tenía que utilizar un uniforme que aya no usaban computadoras sino que utilizan solo cuadernos y si querías comer algo ibas a lo que daba el colegio sino tenias que comprar y alla tenían dos horarios en la mañana y en la tarde. A la vuelta, tienes clases en diferentes salones y tienes comida gratis, te dan transporte gratis, hay una hora más de clases y solo un horario.
Yo deje mi país porque estaba solo con mi familia y yo quería reunirme con mi mama
Me sentí mal por una parte porque había quedado mi familia, amigos y todo. Lo bueno es que si venía, podía ver de nuevo a mi mamá y era lo que más quería. Por otra parte me sentí bien porque cuando decidí venir sabía que si llegaba podía ver a mi mamá de nuevo. Llegue a la frontera de Estados Unidos caminando. Llegué a Hampton Bays con mi mamá, encontré a mis tíos. El primer día de escuela fue normal porque no conocía a nadie y no conocía la escuela. Lo más difícil es acostumbrarse a la comida. Esta experiencia cambió todo mi forma de pensar.
Mis planes son acabar de estudiar y ponerme a trabajar por un tiempo y después volver a mi país. Creo que si no después de la secundaria me voy a poner a trabajar–no sé, tal vez siendo algo de algún restaurante. Para llegar a esa meta tengo que meter esfuerzo y dedicación, si puedo seguir estudiando.

When I went with my family to visit zoos we saw different species of animals. It's a positive thing. Everything was healthy and we went out to play with my cousins. Afterwards we went to eat and to the pools. I miss going out with my family, going out with my friends, playing and going to celebrate someone 's birthday in my family. I learned values to be a little more friendly and always have respect for older people and while adults talk, minors have to listen and not get involved in adult conversations.
The difference between schools is great; in the school in my country I had all the classes in one room and I had to wear a uniform that no longer used computers but only notebooks and if you wanted to eat something you went to what the school offered otherwise you had to buy it. There they had two schedules in the morning and in the afternoon. On the way back, you have classes in different classrooms and you have free food, they give you free transportation, there is one more hour of classes and only one schedule.
I left my country because I was alone with my family and I wanted to be reunited with my mother. I felt bad on one hand because my family, friends and everything were left. The good thing is that if I came, I could see my mother again and it was what I wanted the most. On the other hand, I felt good because when I decided to come I knew that if I arrived I could see my mother again. I reached the US border on foot. I arrived in Hampton Bays with my mother, and I met my uncles. The first day of school was normal because I didn't know anyone and I didn't know the school. The most difficult thing is getting used to the food. This experience changed my entire way of thinking.
My plans are to finish studying and go to work for a while and then return to my country. I think that if not after high school I'm going to start working – I don't know, maybe being a cashier at a restaurant. To reach that goal I have to put effort and dedication, if I can continue studying.
