Unos de mis recuerdos favoritos de mi niñez es cuando mi madre hacía el llamado hacia la cena y todos corríamos por la comida de nuestra madre con toda la mesa llena. En las festividades de mi país o cumpleaños toda mi familia traía su regalo o comida y hacían una gran fiesta y todos los miembros de la familia se divertían. Las cosas que más extraño de mi país es poder salir con mis amigos a cualquier lado y así poder divertirnos, también extraño a mis abuelos que son unas de las personas mas importantes en mi vida porque ellos cuidaron de mí y mis hermanos cuando mis padres vinieron a los Estados Unidos. Para nuestro futuro y una vida mejor. La escuela en los Estados Unidos está bien, he aprendido muchas cosas tales como el inglés y muchas cosas más en otras clases también. He aprendido sobre culturas de este país así encontrándome con días muy interesantes. Entre el país donde yo crecí y los Estados Unidos las escuelas son muy diferentes, empezando por las clases porque las escuela como las películas se parecían a las escuelas de los estados unidos y así fue empezando mi travesía por los estados unidos. Los primeros días de los Estados Unidos empezaron un poco difíciles porque no me acostumbraba a la vida aquí, todo me quedaba lejos y había muchas cosas que no podía conseguir como en mi país. También otra de las cosas que más se me dificulto fue el clima ya que en este oasis tenemos cuatro temporadas del año. Los Estados Unidos también fue muy bueno en mi vida, conocí mucha gente de diferentes países y muchas culturas. También conocí su historia de cómo llegaron a este país.

Cuando yo vivía en ecuador era el niño mas feliz del mundo, pero con el pasar del tiempo Ecuador no era lo mismo y especialmente en el lugar que yo vivía. Cuando yo tenía 13 tenías que tener cuidado ya sea solo para salir a la tienda. El peligro aumentaba cada día y los disturbios se escuchaban más y más. Esa fue una de las principales causas por la y y mi familia vinimos a este país. Al dejar mi país no fue una cosa fácil ya que dejaba toda mi vida y todo lo que conocía. Fue una de los peores sentimientos en vida ya que fue causado por la inseguridad. El sentimiento de no poder hacer nada para seguir con mi vida en un lugar donde amó estar. Al dejar mi país la ira, la tristeza y la ansiedad de lo que viene en mi vida al dar un siguiente paso. 

Cuando deje mi país no tenía idea de lo que iba a pasar en mi viaje. Nuestro viaje empezó en Quito, Ecuador, cuando salimos de nuestras casas nosotros íbamos solo con la idea de volver a ver nuestros padres. Era nuestra primera vez en un avión, era nuestra primera vez en otro país. Este viaje fue la primera de muchas cosas en mi vida. Cuando dejamos ecuador nos dirigimos hacia el salvador donde todo se nos complicó ya que el salvador estaba pasando por una época de reconstrucción en su país así complicando muestra estandía por ese país. Sin embargo, después de un par de semanas logramos salir de ese país. Después de El Salvador nos dirigimos hacia Guatemala donde solo estuvimos un día y una noche, fue uno de los países más fáciles de atravesar. Después de Guatemala llegamos al país más grande y peligroso que conocí antes de Estados Unidos. Después de 20 largos días con una comida diaria, y muchas horas de camino logramos llegar a los Estados Unidos.

Al llegar a los Estados Unidos fue un choque de culturas. Porque no se parecía nada al país donde viví toda mi vida pero lo único que me hacía feliz y seguir adelante era estar junto a mis padres de nuevo. En la escuela los primeros días me sentía mal ya que el idioma y nuevas culturas eran algo difícil de digerir. Después de un par de meses, aprendí un poco el idioma. Se me abrieron muchas puertas y cambio mi perspectiva para mejor porque sabía y sé que sí aprovechó esas oportunidades voy a poder ser lo que siempre he querido desde mi niñez.

Un consejo para las personas que llegan a los estados unidos o que piensen en venir les aconsejo que nunca se rindan, luchen por sus sueños, así sea que no entiendes el idioma o no te acostumbres nunca te rindas. Este país puede darte muchas oportunidades solo tienes que enfocarte y hacer lo que te gusta.

Mis planes para el futuro son hacer lo que me gusta y nunca rendirme hasta que pueda vivir y tener lo que quiera.

One of my favorite memories from my childhood is when my mother would call for dinner and we would all rush for our mother's food with the entire table full. On holidays in my country or birthdays, my whole family brought their gift or food and they had a great party and all the family members had fun. The things I miss most about my country are being able to go out with my friends anywhere and have fun. I also miss my grandparents who are one of the most important people in my life because they took care of me and my siblings when my parents came to the United States for our future and a better life. The school in the United States is good, I have learned many things such as English and many more things in other classes as well. I have learned about the cultures of this country, having interesting days. Between the country where I grew up and the United States, the schools are very different, starting with the classes because the schools here are like in the movies about the United States. And that is how my journey through the US began. The first days in the United States started out a little difficult because I didn't get used to life here, everything was far away and there were many things I couldn't get like in my country. Also another thing that was most difficult for me was the weather since in this oasis we have four seasons of the year. The United States was also very good in my life, I met many people from different countries and many cultures. I also learned their story of how they came to this country.

When I lived in Ecuador I was the happiest child in the world, but as time went by Ecuador was not the same and especially in the place where I lived. When I was 13 you had to be careful whether it was just going out to the store. The danger increased every day and the riots were heard more and more. That was one of the main reasons why my family and I came to this country. Leaving my country was not an easy thing since I was leaving my entire life and everything I knew. It was one of the worst feelings in life as it was caused by insecurity. The feeling of not being able to do anything to continue with my life in a place where I loved being. Upon leaving my country the anger, sadness and anxiety of what is coming in my life as I take the next step began to hit me. 

When I left my country I had no idea what was going to happen on my trip. Our trip began in Quito, Ecuador, when we left our houses we went only with the idea of seeing our parents again. It was our first time on a plane, it was our first time in another country. This trip was the first of many things in my life. When we left Ecuador we headed towards El Salvador where everything became complicated for us since El Salvador was going through a period of reconstruction in its country, thus complicating our stay in that country. However, after a couple of weeks we managed to leave that country. After El Salvador we headed to Guatemala where we only stayed one day and one night, it was one of the easiest countries to cross. After Guatemala we arrived at the largest and most dangerous country I knew before the United States. After 20 long days with one meal a day, and many hours on the road, we managed to reach the United States.

Upon arriving in the United States it was a clash of cultures. Because it was nothing like the country where I lived all my life, but the only thing that made me happy and move forward was being with my parents again. At school the first few days I felt bad since the language and new cultures were difficult to digest. After a couple of months, I learned the language a little. Many doors opened for me and my perspective changed for the better because I knew and know that if I took advantage of those opportunities I will be able to be what I have always wanted since my childhood.

Some advice for people who come to the United States or who are thinking about coming, I advise them to never give up, fight for their dreams, even if you don't understand the language or don't get used to it, never give up. This country can give you many opportunities, you just have to focus and do what you like.

My plans for the future are to do what I love and never give up until I can live and have what I want.
