Hampton Bays names 2026 valedictorian and salutatorian

Many years of an impressive and outstanding commitment to academics have paid off for Hampton Bays High School seniors Taylor Meyers and Dennis Williams, who have been named the Class of 2026 valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.

Both students have amassed numerous accomplishments throughout their high school careers. Meyers is an AP Scholar with Honor and serves as president of her school’s National, Math and Science honor societies and Varsity Club. She is also a member of her school’s Leo, Interact and Key clubs. Additionally, she captains the varsity lacrosse, basketball and volleyball teams and has earned multiple awards in each sport, including All-County for lacrosse, All-League for basketball and All-County and All-League for volleyball.

She will be attending Pace University in the fall on a lacrosse scholarship and plans to study nursing.

Williams is an AP Scholar and member of his school’s National, Science and Math honor societies. He also participates in the Future Business Leaders of America Club and Peer Educators. Additionally, he works the lighting booth during school productions.

Williams has been accepted to a number of prestigious colleges and universities and is currently undecided. He plans to study business administration.
