Members of the U.S. Coast Guard recently visited Hampton Bays Middle School to engage fifth grade students and educate them about their role in the community. During the visit, the service members showcased their response boat and explained various responsibilities, including search and rescue operations, maritime safety and environmental protection. The interactive presentation aimed to inspire students and raise awareness about the importance of the Coast Guard's mission. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and learn firsthand about the critical services provided by the Coast Guard.
