Hampton Bays names 2025 valedictorian and salutatorian

Many years of an impressive and outstanding commitment to academics have paid off for Hampton Bays High School seniors Christopher Roldan and Chris Clinton, who have been named the Class of 2025 valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.

Roldan and Clinton have amassed numerous accomplishments throughout their high school careers. Both are AP Scholars with Distinction, and both hold offices in the National Honor Society, with Roldan serving as president and Clinton as vice president. In addition, Roldan is secretary, and Clinton is treasurer, of the Science National Honor Society. The pair are also members of the Tri-M Music Honor Society.

Roldan serves as historian for both the Interact Club and Band Leadership team, as well as webmaster for Key Club. In addition, he is a member of his school’s robotics team, plays flute in his school’s band and has appeared in his school’s theatrical productions, the most recent being “Legally Blonde.” In athletics, he serves as captain of the winter and spring track teams and runs the mile and 4x8 relay. Outside of school, he sings on his church’s worship team.

Roldan plans to study computer science engineering in college this fall.

Clinton will graduate with a prestigious AP Capstone diploma. He is president of his school’s Interact Club, Key Club and Band Leadership team. He performs percussion with his school’s band, jazz band and pit orchestra. He is also a varsity tennis player and serves as captain of his team. Outside of school, he is a lifeguard for the Town of Southampton.

Clinton plans to study biology in college in the fall.
