Hampton Bays Middle School eighth graders are learning the art of crochet. The students, with the assistance of English teacher Jessica Mills, are crocheting squares that will be sewn together for patients at Stony Brook University Hospital. Many of the students, who never held a crochet hook before, picked up crochet techniques, including chaining, very quickly.
