To continue to foster a love of reading among students, Hampton Bays Elementary School is once again hosting its annual “Hampton Bays Reads Together” event during the month of January.

As part of the program, founded by reading specialist Liliana Cacace, students in grades K-4 all read from the same book every day, participate in discussions, and create music and art surrounding the selected book.

This year, students are reading “Zoey and Sassafras: Dragons and Marshmallow,” the first book in a series by Asia Citro, in which a young girl discovers a glowing photo and learns an amazing secret.
