Following a deep dive into Aztec culture and history, Hampton Bays Middle School fifth graders brought their knowledge to life as part of a hands-on art project. Each student, drawing inspiration from the intricate designs and glyphs of ancient Aztec art, created an Aztec sun stone. To design the stone, the students used acrylic paint and craft foam and carefully designed stamps that mimic the ancient symbols found in Aztec culture, creating bold, vibrant prints that showcase both creativity and history.
