Hampton Bays Elementary School students were filled with excitement recently with the opening of an expanded playground at their school.

The new playground, in the works since 2022, added new play structures, a fitness course with various obstacles and a RopeVenture Vertex. It also features new benches. Favorite parts of the old playground remain, including bridges, slides and rock walls.

“The new playground has been a great addition to our physical education program at Hampton Bays,” said physical education teacher Vincenzo Battaglia.
