In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Black History Month, Hampton Bays High School art students worked collaboratively for over a month to create a mural of Rosa Parks as part of East End Arts’ annual MLK Portrait Project Auction. The 4-by-4-foot portrait is made up of 16 panels that were each designed by a student or group of students. The piece will be displayed at the MLK Portrait Project Reception at Suffolk County Community College Eastern Campus on Feb. 27 from 4-6 p.m.
